HEC websites
Working with the resources of the London Grid for Learning (LGfL) this site brings together a range of global dimension resources into a framework of familiar issues. It emphasises on-line activities and web-based information but also cross-references to printed materials. It is undergoing a process of teacher review and the content is being supplemented with new ideas using ICT tools.

The site has an on-line quiz which schools and pupils can use to measure their global footprints and to find out how they can reduce their negative impact on the earth.

High quality examples of recent work by Tower Hamlets schools on sustainable development are featured on the site.

Classroom activities on Global Citizenship issues - Waste, Food, Water, Transport and Fairtrade - for Literacy and Numeracy. Lessons are downloadable from the site.
East End Talking has been put together by Tower Hamlets’ children and young people to showcase what it means to live, learn and work in the East End.
Schools have the opportunity to borrow digital video kits to produce work for the site.
The site includes sections on Local History, Geography, and Citizenship, and pupils views of themselves and the world.
There is also a Resources section for teachers to use in schools.
Pupils and teachers are encouraged to upload work to the site.
A website created by and for secondary age students in Tower Hamlets to express their diversity and identity. As citizens of the East End of London and the world, the site is a space to share their thoughts and ideas, have their voices heard and celebrate their actions and creativity. Schools have the opportunity to borrow digital video kits to produce work for the site.
