Youth Workers Day Conference
HEC was invited by the Borough's Youth Participation team to deliver a workshop at the Borough's Youth worker conference. Youth workers were shown how to embed the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child into their work. They explored scenarios to do with their work and were given support packs with posters and starting points for action. This was linked to the promotion of community development through young people using social enterprise and young people becoming Fairtrade activists to promote children's rights globally.

This is part of our ongoing relationship with deliverers of youth participation and engagement exploring and developing their use of the global dimension.
