Lord Grey School has a languages specialism, and humanities as a second one.  The Head of Humanities and Citizenship is keen to develop the curriculum so that the pupils grow into global citizens.

Citizenship is taught as a subject in the curriculum and covers areas including global economics, fair trade, sustainable development, inequality and other geographical themes.

The areas that the school is most interested in pursuing are:
a) Developing KS4 Citizenship Coursework which would involve working in groups and have some kind of activity as part of the assignment

b) Looking at developing a link with a school in another country

c) Exploring the possibilities of the Kenyan soap opera

d) Considering the possibilities of a week of sustained global activity

e) Input from GEMK on Fair Trade with particular classes
