Marlowe Academy: NQTs
Marlowe Academy NQTs - Getting started with Global Citizenship
In January WEDG began a programme of training, to introduce the Marlowe Academy's NQTS to global citizenship. The training is helping them to explore the concept of global citizenship and its relevance for their own subjects. It became evident from the first session that this is an area many of the NQTs feel unsure and unconfident about addressing. Through a range of activities and resources, WEDG is providing ideas and inspiration to help develop their confidence and point them in the direction of useful materials. The NQTs have particularly requested ideas on how to incorporate global citizenship into their own subject areas.

NQT comment: "One student asked me about what is going on in Gaza, and I had to tell him I had no idea. It is so complicated to understand."
NQT comment, when asked to respond to the question ‘What does Global Citizenship mean to you?': "You'll have to help me out here, because I haven't got a clue".
