Kent and the Wider World provides support for the global dimension of the school curriculum in three ways:

  • Workshops
  • Resource centre with activity packs, videos, and simulation games for loan.
  • Advisory Services and INSET

These services are available for staff and pupils in both primary and secondary schools.

Recent schools work has included:

 

  • INSET on Global Citizenship with Canterbury Diocese teachers in association with Canterbury Diocese schools advisor.
  • INSET on Global Citizenship with Bromley teachers in association with Rochester Diocese schools advisor.
  • Workshops on fair trade during One World Week at Vigo, Laddingford, Murston, Chevening and Fawkham primary schools.
  • Workshops on refugees issues at Fawkham and Laddingford primary, and Dartford Technology College.
  • Workshops on fair trade and refugee issues at Hextable School with Year 10.
  • Workshops on fair trade at Valley Park school with Year 8.
  • Workshops on global development and child labour issues in Fulston Manor School, Sittingbourne, and Highworth Grammar School in Ashford.
  • Workshops on 'People and Possessions' for year 6 pupils at Canterbury Cathedral Church schools day.
